PaarTanZ

PaarTanZ is an intergenerational dance project that celebrates movement as a universal language of connection. Hosted by Centre Français de Berlin, this multi-month series brought together professional choreographers and seniors residents from Berlin-Wedding to collaboratively explore how dance can express personal narratives, foster relationships, and bridge generational divides.

The short documentary film follows three carefully matched pairs as they meet for the first time and interview one another. They are then given one week to create a short dance performance, which is later presented to the public. The intimate duos that emerge challenge conventional performance norms and invite us to reflect on how dance enables us to discover new experiences at every stage of life.
